The Dunbar Poets topped the visiting Dunbar Crimson Tide football team by a count of 22-12 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Dunbar upgrades its record to 4-0 on the year. The Poets host Mergenthaler Vo-Tech (Baltimore, MD) to face the Mustangs in a Baltimore City I bout on Friday, September 30. The Mustangs enter the bout with a record of 3-0. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech won 53-8 in their recent league bout against Patterson (Baltimore, MD)
The Crimson Tide (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Eastern (Washington, DC). The Ramblers enter the DCIAA - Stars bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Eastern defeated Cardozo (Washington, DC), 48-0, in a non-league bout.
