North Carolina High School Football - East Columbus overwhelms Jones

September 23, 2022: Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) and the visiting Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC), observed East Columbus's football squad bounce Jones by a tally of 63-7.

The Gators now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Whiteville for a 1A/2A East Conference 5 contest on Friday, September 30. East Columbus will play a Wolfpack squad coming off a 56-0 non-league win over Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Lejeune Devil Pups (Camp Lejeune, NC) in a 1A/2A East Conference 3 contest, on Friday, September 30. Jones will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Devil Pups go into the contest with a 0-5 record after their 55-14 non-league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
