In Friday's non-league game, the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) football team smashed the host Fort Vancouver Trappers (Vancouver, WA), by a score of 62-22.

The Lions (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Astoria (Astoria, OR). The Fishermen come into the 4A Special District 1 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Astoria was ripped by Estacada (Estacada, OR), 38-0, in a non-league game.

The Trappers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Castle Rock for a 1A Trico game on Friday, September 30. Fort Vancouver will meet a Rockets team coming off a 57-12 non-league loss to Montesano (Montesano, WA). The Rockets record now stands at 3-1.
