Massachusetts High School Football - Ipswich held off by Lynnfield

September 23, 2022: Ipswich, MA 01938

In Friday's league game, the Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA) football team tipped the host Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, MA), by a final score of 23-19.

The Pioneers (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Newburyport (Newburyport, MA). The Clippers come into the Cape Ann game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Newburyport was tipped by Triton Regional (Byfield, MA), 22-14, in a league game.

The Tigers now hold a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Reading for a non-league game on Friday, September 30. Ipswich will battle a Hornets team coming off a 48-0 league win over Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-0.
