The Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) football routed the host West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA), 57-6 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Knights face the East Sac County Raiders (Lake View, IA) in a 1A District 8 bout, on Friday, September 30. Kuemper will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Raiders enter the bout with a 0-6 record after their 55-0 league loss to Treynor (Treynor, IA).
The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute (Mapleton, IA). The enter the 1A District 8 bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute was overwhelmed by Underwood (Underwood, IA), 68-12, in a league bout.
