In Friday's non-league game, the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) football team smashed the visiting Roosevelt Mustangs (Dallas, TX), by a score of 50-0.
The Pirates (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Yoakum overwhelmed Gonzales (Gonzales, TX), 42-15, in a non-league game.
