    The Macon County Tigers thwarted the visiting Portland Panthers football team by a count of 42-15 in Friday's non-league outing.

    With the win, Macon County upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Tigers host Upperman (Baxter, TN) to encounter the Bees in a 4A Region 4 outing on Friday, September 30. The Bees go into the outing with a record of 4-2. Upperman won 48-7 in their recent non-league outing against Watertown (Watertown, TN)

    With the loss, Portland moves to 4-2 on the season. The Panthers host Kenwood (Clarksville, TN) to encounter the Knights in a 5A Region 7 outing on Friday, September 30. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 2-4. Kenwood won 27-24 in their recent non-league outing against Shelbyville Central (Shelbyville, TN)
