In Friday's league game, the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) football team smashed the visiting Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY), by a score of 48-7.
The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Moore (Louisville, KY). The Mustangs come into the 4A District 3 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Moore overwhelmed Iroquois (Louisville, KY), 42-14, in a non-league game.
The Knights now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Valley for a 4A District 3 game on Friday, September 30. Marion County will battle a Vikings team coming off a 30-17 league win over John Hardin (Elizabethtown, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 2-4.
