North Carolina High School Football - Mecklenburg County trounced by Weddington

The Weddington Warriors walloped the visiting Mecklenburg County Phoenix football team by a count of 56-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Weddington upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Warriors host Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to encounter the Panthers in a 4A West Conference 58 outing on Friday, September 30. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 0-5. Piedmont lost 27-7 in their recent non-league outing against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)

With the loss, Mecklenburg County moves to 1-4 on the season. The Phoenix host Amherst County (Amherst, VA) to encounter the Lancers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 30. The Lancers go into the outing with a record of 4-0. Amherst County won 25-14 in their recent league outing against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)
