With the win, Mitchell upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Draughn (Valdese, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a 1A/2A West Conference 42 outing on Friday, September 30. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 5-1. Draughn won 57-7 in their recent league outing against Avery County (Newland, NC)
With the loss, Owen moves to 0-5 on the season. The Warhorses host Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to confront the Cougars in a 1A/2A West Conference 42 outing on Friday, September 30. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 1-4. Mountain Heritage won 30-13 in their recent league outing against Rosman (Rosman, NC)
