The Mt. Shasta Bears held off the host Weed Cougars football team by a final score of 22-18 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Mt. Shasta improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bears host Fall River (McArthur, CA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 30. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 4-0. Fall River won 35-0 in their recent league outing against Quincy (Quincy, CA)

With the loss, Weed moves to 0-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Etna (Etna, CA) to confront the Lions in a Cascade Valley outing on Friday, September 30. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Etna lost 43-6 in their recent league outing against Portola (Portola, CA)
