In Friday's league match, the visiting Southside football squad scored a good 37-7 victory over the New Iberia Yellowjackets.
In their next game, the clash with the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) in a 5A District 3 match, on Friday, September 30. Southside will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, LA).
The Yellowjackets (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Carencro (Lafayette, LA). The Bears enter the 5A District 3 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Carencro ran past Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 43-0, in a league match.
