In Friday's non-league battle, the host Perquimans Pirates soccer squad scored a good 9-0 win over the Columbia Wildcats.
The Pirates (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Red Barons go into the Four Rivers 1A battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Gates County was overwhelmed by Camden County (Camden, NC), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
