The Phoenix Military Firebird held off the visiting Dunbar Mightymen volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's league test.

The Firebird now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Collins for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 28. Phoenix Military will confront a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 league win over Marine Leadership Academy (Chicago, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.

The Mightymen (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Chicago Mathematics & Science (Chicago, IL). The enter the Chicago Public Blue North test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Chicago Mathematics & Science held off Farragut (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
