The Anzar Hawks (San Juan Bautista, CA) football edged the visiting Laton Mustangs (Laton, CA), 24-22 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Hawks face the Harker Eagles (San Jose, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 30. Anzar will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 54-6 non-league loss to Branson (Ross, CA).
The Mustangs (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA). The Spartans enter the Central Sierra (8 Man) bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Orcutt Academy nudged San Luis Obispo Classical Academy (San Luis Obispo, CA), 48-24, in a non-league bout.
