In Saturday's league match, the visiting John Adams Spartans football squad scored a close 24-18 victory over the Columbus Blue Steel.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Stuyvesant Peglegs (New York, NY) in a PSAL AAA match, on Saturday, September 30. John Adams will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Peglegs enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 20-0 league loss to Brooklyn Tech (Brooklyn, NY).
The Blue Steel (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Truman (Bronx, NY). The Mustangs enter the PSAL AAA match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Truman held off Flushing (Flushing, NY), 30-2, in a league match.
