New Mexico High School Football - Escalante trounces Mescalero Apache

September 23, 2023: Tierra Amarilla, NM 87575

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Escalante Lobos football squad scored a big 47-12 victory over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs.

In their next game, the Lobos clash with the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 29. Escalante will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 50-0 non-league win over Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM).

The Chiefs (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM). The Wolves enter the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Hozho Academy was crushed by Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM), 50-0, in a non-league match.
