Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting St. Henry Crusaders (Erlanger, KY), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bearcats confront the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, September 24. Walton-Verona will attempt to better on its 14-3 season record. The Eagles/Banshees enter the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, KY).
The Crusaders now have a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Middlesboro for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 23. St. Henry will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-5.
