Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA), 22-14 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Southmoreland improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Scotties travel to Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA) to confront the Leopards in a non-league test on Saturday, October 21. The Leopards come into the test with a record of 1-0.

With the loss, Deer Lakes drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host Knoch (Saxonburg, PA) to confront the Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, September 30. The Knights come into the test with a record of 1-0.
