Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Riverton/Tri-City Hawks (Riverton, IL), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hiltoppers confront the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Hillsboro will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).
The Hawks now have a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Williamsville for a Sangamo challenge on Monday, September 25. Riverton/Tri-City will confront a Bullets team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Bullets record now stands at 10-3.
