The Fruita Monument Wildcats softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Frederick Golden Eagles to 2 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Fruita Monument moves its record to 13-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Montrose (Montrose, CO) to play the Red Hawks in a 5A/4A Southwestern game on Tuesday, September 26. The Red Hawks come into the game with a record of 4-12. Montrose won 12-11 in their recent non-league game against Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO)

In their next game, the Golden Eagles play the Grand Junction Central Warriors (Grand Junction, CO) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 23. Frederick will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 4-10 record after their 13-10 non-league loss to Castle View (Castle Rock, CO).
