The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE) and the host Ansley/Litchfield Spartans (Ansley, NE), saw Burwell's volleyball squad nip Ansley/Litchfield by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Burwell upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (Sumner, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE)

The Spartans now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Nebraska Christian for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. Ansley/Litchfield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Elgin/Pope John (Elgin, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 11-5.
