Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Braves confront the Archbishop Bergan Knights (Fremont, NE) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 23. Battle Creek will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 14-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Yutan (Yutan, NE).
The Wildcats (14-6) will now prepare for their game against Central City (Central City, NE). The Bison enter the C1 District 9 game with a 9-10 record. In their last game, Central City held off Aquinas (David City, NE), 2-1, in a non-league game.
