In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Burlington Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fredonia Yellowjackets.

The Wildcats (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against Iola (Iola, KS). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 8-6 record. In their last battle, Iola achieved victory over Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Yellowjackets clash with the Cherryvale Chargers (Cherryvale, KS) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 26. Fredonia will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Chargers come into the battle with a 9-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Cedar Vale/Dexter (Cedar Vale, KS).
