Iowa High School Volleyball - Mason City can't hold off Central Lyon

In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Central Lyon Lions volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Mason City Mohawks.
The Lions (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Spencer (Spencer, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Spencer was edged by Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Mohawks clash with the Le Mars Bulldogs (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 23. Mason City will attempt to advance on its 5-20 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 4-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA).
