The East Bakersfield Blades held off the host Central Grizzlies volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Blades now have a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host South for a South Yosemite Mountain test on Monday, September 25. East Bakersfield will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league loss to West (Bakersfield, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-13.
The Grizzlies (1-15) will now prepare for their test against Clovis North (Fresno, CA). The Broncos enter the Tri-River test with a 23-4 record. In their last test, Clovis North was nudged by Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
