The East Central Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Purvis Tornadoes to 1 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets now possess a 15-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Our Lady Academy for a non-league game on Monday, September 25. East Central will meet a Crescents team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Crescents record now stands at 34-3.
The Tornadoes (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars enter the Class 4 Region 6 game with a 10-8 record. In their last game, Lawrence County nipped Magee (Magee, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
