The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) and the visiting Woodbury Royals (Woodbury, MN), saw Hopkins's volleyball squad nip Woodbury by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Hopkins upgrades its record to 6-5 on the year. The Royals host Buffalo (Buffalo, MN) to play the Bison in a Lake bout on Tuesday, September 26. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Buffalo won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Blaine (Blaine, MN)

The Royals now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Minneapolis Southwest for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. Woodbury will play a Lakers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 9-2.
