In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Maple Lake Irish volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Little Falls Flyers.
The Irish (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Zimmerman (Zimmerman, MN). The Thunder come into the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Zimmerman defeated Spectrum (Elk River, MN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Flyers encounter the Foley Falcons (Foley, MN) in a Granite Ridge battle, on Thursday, September 28. Little Falls will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Falcons come into the battle with a 10-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Albany (Albany, MN).
