The Lyons Lions held off the visiting Sterling Black Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions now have a 8-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast of Saline for a non-league test on Saturday, September 23. Lyons will confront a Trojans team coming off a 2-1 league win over Minneapolis (Minneapolis, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 10-3.
The Black Bears (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, KS). The Bearcats enter the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Ellsworth was nudged by Little River (Little River, KS), 3-0, in a non-league test.
