In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Sayre Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Monroe County Falcons.
The Spartans (20-7) will now prepare for their battle against Apollo (Owensboro, KY). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Apollo went down by Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, KY), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Falcons encounter the Warren East Raiders (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 23. Monroe County will attempt to move on its 11-10 season record. The Raiders come into the battle with a 17-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY).
