Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) backers left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon match, on Thursday, September 28. Pine Eagle will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record.

With the loss, Nixyaawii Community drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Griswold (Helix, OR) to battle the Grizzlies in a 1A Old Oregon match on Tuesday, September 26. The Grizzlies come into the match with a record of 4-8. Griswold lost 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Cove (Cove, OR)
