The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars held off the visiting Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars now have a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Legacy Christian Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, September 23. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will confront a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN). The Lions record now stands at 8-3.
The Wolverines (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Staples-Motley (Staples, MN). The Cardinals enter the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Staples-Motley held off Crosby-Ironton (Crosby, MN), 3-0, in a league test.
