Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), 43-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Oakland Mills improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Urbana (Ijamsville, MD) to play the Hawks in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 1-0.
The Lightning now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Howard for a non-league battle on Monday, September 30. Long Reach will play a Lions team coming off a 28-6 non-league win over Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD). The Lions record now stands at 4-0.
