In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Croatan Cougars.

The Screaming Eagle (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Cougars go into the Mideastern 3A/4A outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, South Brunswick was edged by Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 4-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Cougars confront the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 27. Croatan will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Nighthawks go into the outing with a 7-0 record after their 4-0 league win over Camden County (Camden, NC).
