The Spartans now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Norwin for a WPIAL AAAA 2 challenge on Wednesday, September 25. Hempfield Area will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Plum (Pittsburgh, PA). The Knights record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Southmoreland moves to 5-6 on the year. The Scotties travel to Charleroi (Charleroi, PA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 24. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 10-0. Charleroi won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)
