Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO), 4-2 in a league game.
With the triumph, Palmer Ridge improves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Bears travel to Discovery Canyon (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Thunder in a 4A Pikes Peak game on Wednesday, September 25. The Thunder enter the game with a record of 7-9. Discovery Canyon won 10-6 in their recent league game against Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO)
The Red-Tailed Hawks now hold a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Pueblo Centennial for a non-league game on Friday, September 27. Cheyenne Mountain will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Mesa Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-4.
