In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Winston Red Birds softball team scored a tight 13-6 win over the DeKalb Tigers.

The Red Birds (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Stanberry (Stanberry, MO). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Stanberry was routed by Maryville (Maryville, MO), 13-9, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the West Platte Bluejays (Weston, MO) in a Class 1 District 14 match, on Tuesday, September 24. DeKalb will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Bluejays come into the match with a 6-5 record after their 15-0 non-league win over East Buchanan (Gower, MO).
