The Toombs County Bulldogs softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Pierce County Bears to 4 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Monday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swainsboro for a 1A D-I Region 3 battle on Tuesday, September 24. Toombs County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-9.

With the loss, Pierce County moves to 9-9 on the season. The Bears travel to Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to confront the Cougars in a 2A Region 3 battle on Wednesday, September 25. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 5-9. Crisp County lost 6-0 in their recent league battle against Appling County (Baxley, GA)
