In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Nansemond River Warriors volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Denbigh Patriots.
The Warriors (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Southeastern challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Lakeland was beaten by King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 3-2, in a league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Denbigh will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Phoebus (Hampton, VA).
