Marissa Meteors (Marissa, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes (Zeigler, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Marissa improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Meteors host Elverado (Elkville, IL) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league test on Friday, October 18. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 7-9.

The Tornadoes now own a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Webber for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 24. Zeigler-Royalton will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Christopher (Christopher, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 7-3.
