The Calumet Copper Kings volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Ishpeming Hematites to 1 in the Copper Kings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Copper Kings now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ubly for a non-league game on Saturday, September 27. Calumet will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Sandusky (Sandusky, MI). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Ishpeming drops to 11-2 on the campaign. The Hematites travel to Houghton (Houghton, MI) to play the Gremlins in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 30. The Gremlins come into the outing with a record of 9-9. Houghton won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Marquette (Marquette, MI)
