In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Houghton Gremlins volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Marquette Sentinels.

The Gremlins (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI). The Hematites enter the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Ishpeming was beaten by Calumet (Calumet, MI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sentinels meet the Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI) in a Big North challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Marquette will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Eskymos enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
