In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Jefferson County North Chargers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Pleasant Ridge Rams.

The Chargers (21-1) will now prepare for their challenge against McLouth (McLouth, KS). The Bulldogs enter the Northeast Kansas League challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last test, McLouth was edged by Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy (Atchison, KS), 2-0, in a league test.

The Rams now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tonganoxie for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. Pleasant Ridge will face a Chieftains squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, KS). The Chieftains record now stands at 10-7.
