The Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX) football defeated the host Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 20-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) in a 5A-1 Region II District 5 bout, on Thursday, September 30. Reedy will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Rangers enter the bout with a 3-1 record after their 38-21 league win over Independence (Frisco, TX).

The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Denton (Denton, TX). The Broncos enter the 5A-1 Region II District 5 bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Denton defeated Heritage (Frisco, TX), 48-45, in a league bout.
