The Melbourne Bearkatz football team (Melbourne, AR), was tipped 21-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR)
The Greyhounds (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Raiders come into the 3A Region 2 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Riverview nipped Salem (Salem, AR), 35-7, in a league challenge.
The Bearkatz now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salem for a 3A Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 1. Melbourne will meet a Greyhounds team coming off a 35-7 league loss to Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 3-1.
