In Friday's non-league game, the Moore Mustangs (Louisville, KY) football team smashed the host Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY), by a score of 41-0.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Spencer County (Taylorsville, KY). The Bears come into the 4A District 3 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Spencer County overwhelmed Marion County (Lebanon, KY), 45-3, in a league game.
The Commanders now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lexington Christian for a 2A District 4 game on Friday, October 8. Washington County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 31-14 non-league win over Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 6-0.
