The Birmingham Patriots volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars to 0 in the Patriots non-league victory on Saturday.

The Patriots now have a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taft for a game on Tuesday, September 27. Birmingham will meet a Toreadors team coming off a 2-0 league win over Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Toreadors record now stands at 14-4.

The Cougars (4-7) will now prepare for their game against North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA). The Huskies enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, North Hollywood gained a win over Grant (Van Nuys, CA), 2-0, in a league game.
