Manchester Panthers (Akron, OH) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers face the Northwest Indians (Canal Fulton, OH) in a Principals Athletic challenge, on Monday, September 26. Manchester will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Canton South (Canton, OH).

The Huskies now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Waynedale for a Wayne County challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Northwestern will face a Golden Bears team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Central Christian (Kidron, OH). The Golden Bears record now stands at 9-2.
