Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Thomas Jefferson Spartans (Denver, CO), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Thunder now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Air Academy for a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Monday, September 26. Discovery Canyon will face a Kadets squad coming off a 16-5 league loss to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Kadets record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Thomas Jefferson falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Jefferson (Edgewater, CO) to face the Saints in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 26. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 3-9. Jefferson lost 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lyons (Lyons, CO)
